LISTEN NOW! (Or WATCH FULL PROGRAM!) Many Americans may recognize Dr. Ben Carson as a former Presidential Nominee for the 2017 election. But, they may not know of his extensive medical career and accomplishments. While Vice President Mike Pence issued Dr. Carson’s Oath for the Secretary for the Department for Housing and Urban Development, he made it a priority to address Dr. Carson’s many accomplishments.
“Your inspiring life story is known all across the country, if not the world. Your groundbreaking work as a surgeon at John Hopkins Hospital has improved and saved the lives of many, and inspired the nation.”

Dr. Carson’s life didn’t start with success. He grew up in the inner-city of Detroit. As Vice President Pence describes, “Dr. Carson, you saw firsthand how too many Americans can be trapped in poverty and in despair, in communities that are crumbling, families fracturing, and their hope for a brighter future fading.” Vice President Pence describes Dr. Carson’s life as a “quintessentially American story”.  It is this life experience that gives Dr. Carson an inside perspective of the impacts that HUD provides to many Americans, and will assist him in carrying out this leadership role with excellence.

Hear Vice President Pence share more about Dr. Carson’s impactful and inspiring life, as well as leading Dr. Carson in the oath that begins his leadership of serving the American people in House and Urban Development, and so much more. Also shared in this segment: inspiration, hope, dreams, The Constitution, and integrity. Greg and Steve shared in this segment.
